Analyzing Visual Style
Shot Logger facilitates the analysis of visual style in film and television.
It contains a database of editing statistics for 927 instances of 244 films and TV programs and a gallery of 280,592 frame captures (individual frames from every shot in those films/TV programs).
One statistic Shot Logger generates is average shot length or ASL. As of 13 January 2015, the ASL of 280,592 logged shots is 6.20 seconds. ASLs of individual films and TV episodes may be found in our data table.
